As the prizewinner of the “Concours Innovation” organized by Bpifrance, METAFORA was awarded €1M grant.
Bpifrance, also known as the “Banque publique d’investissement” is a French public sector investment bank.
The “Concours Innovation” aims to support innovative projects led by startups and SMEs with strong potential to become global leaders in their field. This competition is part of the French government’s Large Investment Plan and is operated by ADEME, Bpifrance, and FranceAgriMer.
Through a competitive selection process, the program co-finances research, development, and innovation projects with total budgets between €600,000 and €5 million.
METAFORA was part of the 8 winners of the second round of the 2019 “Concours Innovation”. As a prizewinner, the company will receive a €1 million public grant to fund the development of its META-analyzer project. This innovative platform combines biology and data science to detect and characterize tumor cells. The funding will enable METAFORA to further advance this pioneering technology, which has great potential to benefit the French economy.
